Ars Electronica is a festival, an award, a museum with a permanent platform for presentation and production, a laboratory for experimentation on art, technology, society based in Linz, Austria.

The festival, created in 1979 in the form of a festival for digital arts, new technologies and innovations in contemporary societies, has grown and consolidated itself as one of the most significant international realities of sociological, artistic and technological investigation and experimentation in the world.
